BIG EATS:  'Who You Calling a Jerk?'
Jamaican Jerk Chicken

Get some spicy flavor of the island, mon! And be sure to have plenty of water to wash it down!

Ingredients:
10 South Bonnet Chilies
3 scallions
1/4 tsp. fresh lime juice
1/4 tsp. yellow mustard
2 tbsp. white wine vinegar
2 tbsp. each rosemary, basil, thyme
2 tbsp. mustard seeds and parsley
1 tsp. salt and pepper
6 whole chicken legs

Directions:
Puree chilies and scallions and blend in all other ingredients (excluding the chicken!) to create a paste. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Submerge chicken legs in mixture, making certain it is well coated. Grill chicken legs over very low heat for 40-50 minutes.

Ludicrous Laws

A lot of time and effort go into making laws. After all that hard work, it’s no wonder that some really odd ones remain on the books.  Check these out!

•    In Wisconsin, margarine may not be substituted for butter in restaurants unless the customer requests it.

•    In Boulder, Colorado it is illegal to allow a llama to graze on city property.

•    Stores cannot sell musical instruments on Sunday in South Carolina.

•    It’s illegal to take a lion to the movies in Maryland.

•    In Minnesota, people may not cross over the state line with a duck on top his or her head.

•    In Clarendon, Texas dusting a public building with a feather duster is illegal.

•    Laws in New Jersey prohibit men from knitting during the fishing season.

•    It is against the law in Tennessee to use a lasso to catch a fish. 

•    On Sundays in New York, citizens may not walk around with an ice cream cone in his or her pocket.
